The “skills gap” or skilled worker shortage is a hot topic in industrial workplaces, but why and how bad is it? A 2018 Tooling U-SME study of more than 850 U.S. manufacturing companies revealed that 64% of respondents reported significant setbacks due to a shortage of skilled laborers.

Calcium sulfonate thickeners have been around for almost 50 years. This particular type of grease has inherent extreme pressure (EP) properties that stand out from the rest. These properties, combined with the fact that it can be formulated for use in H-1 (food-grade) applications, make it an attractive alternative to other greases.

Most bull’s-eye level gauges confirm oil volume but don’t identify root causes and symptoms of machine failure. Luneta’s Condition Monitoring Pod™ allows early detection of abnormal machine and lubricant health conditions.

Equipment that is run in an extremely dirty environment such as in a forge or foundry needs extra care to avoid contamination. We try to keep our equipment sealed and avoid unnecessary opening of the reservoirs. Install quick disconnects in your tanks and on your fill vessels for filling or topping-up hydraulic tanks. All our equipment has mainstream sampling taps installed for uptime or running sampling. This will result in a true indication of the condition of your oil, avoiding any bottom sampling.
